One of my favourite parts about volunteering here are the friends I’ve made along the way. We now see each other socially as well as when we volunteer, which is really important to me.
Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet others, gain new skills and do something worthwhile for the local community. Whether you are looking to get involved on a weekly, fortnightly, or ad-hoc basis we have a lot of volunteering opportunities available.
From helping in our kitchens to providing admin support, representing Naomi House & Jacksplace as an ambassador at one of our fundraising events or assisting in one of our 21 charity shops, we really do have a role to suit everyone.

Sort through clothes, help out with recycling, and support our friendly warehouse team with day-to-day activities. Suitable for someone with a good level of fitness.
Support our fundraising team by volunteering at our events across the year. Enjoy a sociable role where you meet new people! Cheer on runners, talk to supporters, and support our events team.
Enjoy a sunny day of uplifting music from various performers, while supporting our festival activities and representing Naomi House & Jacksplace.
Support our chefs in providing a fantastic catering service for the children and young adults, families and staff, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Steam clothes, organise donations and learn new skills by volunteering at one of our 21 charity shops. We are currently looking for new team members in Salisbury, Totton, Winton, and Petersfield.

I have been volunteering for Naomi House & Jacksplace for four years and I absolutely love it. You get to do all sorts of different things, from sorting donations to putting stock out on the shop floor, and working with a lovely team of people. We have lot's of fun together. If someone is considering becoming a volunteer, I'd say do it. It's a really lovely thing to do because you are giving a little bit of your time to make a really big difference in people's lives.

Absolutely! We have many volunteers who have regular weekly roles. They can also help ad-hoc at fundraising events.
We have opportunities available for anyone aged 16 or over at our fundraising events and charity shops.
We require volunteers to be over 18 to apply for any hospice based roles.
Yes, absolutely. We only would like you to let your line manager know in advance.
We offer DofE placements in 6 of our shops for young people aged 15 or over. You can take on a placement at: Basingstoke, Chineham, Eastleigh, Totton, North End and Winchester. You can find the shop near you here.

All volunteers who have direct contact with families are DBS checked.
Each volunteer will be asked to wear appropriate clothing for the volunteering role they are taking on and this will be discussed during the interview.
