Voices for Hospices
On Sunday 15th October, Voices for Hospices, a choir made up of singers from all over, performed at Eastleigh Football Club Stadium.
This wonderful event was put together by a couple living close to Naomi House & Jacksplace who are passionate about the idea of enabling singers to join together and raise their voices to help those with life-limiting conditions.
Hundreds of singers from across the region joined together to sing Handel’s Messiah.
After a morning rehearsal the singers performed to an audience of several hundred who had gathered to show their support.
Together, they raised an incredible £10,000 for local hospices, with £2,000 given to Naomi House & Jacksplace.
Jenny and John Sutton who organise the event said:
How privileged and proud we are to be singing for Naomi House and Jacksplace again. It is a wonderful feeling for us all, knowing that something we like doing (singing), with your inestimable support, can raise money for a charity that is so dear to our hearts. Here's to 2019!
Area Fundraiser for Naomi House & Jacksplace, Sarah Hudson, commented:
Jenny and John Sutton are an inspirational couple and together with their team of wonderful helpers and the support of Eastleigh Football Club put together this wonderful event. It was tremendous to see so many people from all walks of life taking part and what a result £10,000 for local hospices.
