Tour of the Candovers pedal power raises £3,000!
Tour the Candovers pedal power!
A record number of cyclists turned out on a rainy September Sunday morning (3rd) to tackle the Tour the Candovers cycle challenge.
Now in it’s third year, the event saw 277 cyclists turn out to help raise £3,000 for Naomi House & Jacksplace.
The route took them from Robert Mays School in Odiham on a choice of four routes, 8, 20, 40 and 60 miles.
Mike Keynes, owner 1st Gear Cycles said:
We’re delighted with the way the event is growing and we’re looking forward to making 2018 even bigger and better!
Corporate Fundraiser at Naomi House & Jacksplace, Jill McDonagh, commented:
Once again Odiham Cycling Club have done a superb job, the event is growing year on year and it’s easy to see why. It’s an extremely well organised event on a gorgeous, well marshalled route and has the added bonus of motor cycle back markers there to lend a hand if needed. The money they have raised will make a big difference to our hospices, enabling us to continue providing vital care and support to the regions life-limited and life-threatened children, young adults and their families.
Tour the Candovers 2018 will take place on Sunday 2nd September.
Registration fees vary from £12.00 - £20.00 depending on your chosen route. To find out more please visit www.tourofthecandovers.co.uk
