Ryanair meet Ryan Eyre!
A team of cabin crew and managers from low cost European airline, Ryanair, visited Naomi House & Jacksplace on the 30th November.
Ryanair have supported us for a number of years through the sale of Scratch Cards on flights across Europe.
The group visiting the hospices presented the latest donation in the form of a cheque for €10,000 and a promise of further support throughout 2017.
As well as hearing from the Naomi House & Jacksplace care team, the party met with Ryan Eyre, a young man that receives respite care at the hospices. Ryan, 21, has Myotonic Dystrophy and lives with his parents and sister in Hedge End.
Ryanair began supporting Naomi House & Jacksplace in 2013 and have selected the hospices for more support as one of their UK charities for 2017.
Mark Smith, Chief Executive at Naomi House & Jacksplace, commented:
It was a real pleasure to meet so many of the Ryanair staff and thank them personally for their fabulous efforts in selling scratch cards and raising the profile of Naomi House & Jacksplace amongst their passengers. Our charity is caring for more families than ever before, and the children and young people that are coming to us have increasingly complex medical needs. It is thanks to the generosity of firms like Ryanair that we are able to meet this increasing demand and provide a first class service for families on good days, difficult days and last days.
Scratch Cards provide fun for the passengers and a chance to win a car every month and cash prizes up to €1 million, all for a stake of just 2 Euros or 7 cards for the price of 5, with ongoing charity donations made across Europe.
