Jacksplace hosts another year of Jestival

We hosted a fun and vibrant festival for the young adults that use our hospice service, alongside their family and friends, called Jestival!

Jestival is an internal, annual festival held at Jacksplace. This year’s event featured live music from local musicians, two incredible Dj's, Ella and DJ Noseit, stilt walker, Jonquil, festival style hotdogs and beverages, mocktails, glitter face painting, and lots of singing and dancing from the staff and attendees.

Local band, singer Oscar Renton (from Winchester) and  DJ Ella Clayton, as well as a special set by DJ Noseit, volunteered their time to perform at the festival and got involved dancing and chatting with the young adults and staff in-between their sets.

Jestival is truly one of the highlights of the year at Jacksplace! It was fantastic to see so many of our young adults, their families, and friends come together for such a vibrant and joyful celebration. Events like Jestival are so important because they offer our young adults’ invaluable opportunities to socialise, connect with people and simply enjoy being young adults in a fun, supportive, and accessible environment.

Jestival was great this year, even bigger and better than last year! Events like these are such a nice way of bringing everyone together and allowing me and my peers to socialise and connect with people we might not often see. The weather was lovely which was a plus!
