Bayer Newbury 10k raises £13,820!
Around 950 people took part in the annual Bayer Newbury 10k in May.
Runners of all ages took on this fantastic event to help raise money and awareness for Naomi House & Jacksplace and Newbury Athletic Club.
The event, now in it's ninth year, raised £13,820, one of the highest totals ever raised from the event.
Bayer’s UK/Ireland Head of Communications, Simon Greenstreet, presented the cheque to the beneficiaries.
Every year we remain both astounded and impressed by the huge commitment of the people of Newbury and West Berkshire to this flagship event in the community calendar and we’d like to thank everyone who played a part in its success. This is a great result for the race because all the money from the entries has gone to two organisations which provide vital resources to the community at large. We are very proud that we have been able to support them and that we will continue to support the race next year.
Fundraising Manager at Naomi House & Jacksplace, Clare Lay, added:
We are thrilled to have been supported by Bayer for another year and money raised for us has such a huge impact. It costs just under £6,000 to run Naomi House for a day so this donation has truly facilitated our services – thank you!
