Jack's Mates Volunteer
Location: Naomi House & Jacksplace, Sutton Scotney, Winchester
Help young adults that come to Jacksplace socialise outside of the hospice as a Jack's Mate!
As a Jack’s Mate volunteer you will meet up with a group of young adults from Jacksplace in a pub or restaurant for a social get together once a month. These get togethers give our young adults the opportunity to socialise outside of the hospice with each other, as well as the chance to meet and chat with volunteers.
We are looking for people confident in working alongside young adults with life limiting and life threatening conditions.
Volunteers for Jack’s Mates should be professional, outgoing, friendly and able to interact with different personalities. We are looking for volunteers with various interests including sport, music or gaming. If this is you then please get in touch today!
- Be aged 18 – 35 years (as this is the age range of Jacksplace young people)
- Live in or near Southampton
- Be professional, reliable, fun and happy to socialise
- Able to commit to meeting once a month, usually on a Wednesday evening from 6.30pm - 9pm
