Petersfield couple cycle 1,233 miles on a tandem

Joyce & Martin from Petersfield took on the epic challenge of cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats along the National Cycle Network. It took them 30 days of riding during which they covered over 1,200 miles.

Joyce & Martin took on this amazing challenge to support Naomi House & Jacksplace, and Meath School. So far they have raised nearly £2,700 for the charities and that total continues to rise.

During their challenge; the incredible couple dealt with mixed weather, many hills, 2 punctures, 1 broken chain & stayed in 31 different accommodations.

Being unsupported on this amazing, challenging adventure not only meant that everything we needed on the journey had to be packed into our panniers, we also had to plan all our routes and accommodation ourselves beforehand, so we had a great sense of achievement when it all worked out so well. The generous donations to the charities was the real icing on the cake for us!
