On Sunday 17th November we held our popular comedy night at Theatre Royal Winchester. The evening brought together world-class comedians and over 11k was raised for our hospices.

Paul McCaffrey, Winchester’s very own comedy legend, returned for the second year to host the evening to support us. He was joined on stage by Joe Wilkinson (as seen on After Life, 8 out of 10 cats does Countdown and Taskmaster), Tom Deacon (as seen on Dave’s one night stand), Andy Askins (as seen on The John Bishop show) and Fiona Ridgewell (Best Newcomer Edinburgh Ish Comedy Award 2023).

The evening was a great success and had the audience in fits of laughter. We also held a raffle with lot of great prizes, from a large box of chocolates to poster signed by the comedians.

It was such an honour to host this event for the second year running and what a night! 4 fantastic acts who all gave their time for the cause (I’m very lucky to know such kind, talented people), a fantastic crowd and a wonderful venue. It really couldn’t have gone any better. As a Winchester resident, I’ve been aware of the amazing work that Naomi House & Jacksplace do for a while and I’m so happy to be able to do a little bit to help that continue. See you all next year!

All of the performers generously volunteered their time for our Comedy Night. After fees, the rest of the ticket price supports us in continuing to provide expert nursing care to seriously ill children, young adults and their families.

We are absolutely delighted for Paul to return this year with more acts! We’re incredibly grateful. It was a fantastic night of entertainment. We look forward to seeing you all again next year with another exciting line-up of hilarious comedians.
