We are delighted to announce, we have officially opened our brand new, fully accessible holiday lodge in the heart of the New Forest, called 'Naomi House in the Forest'. This means we can now offer the children and families that visit Naomi House (only) a holiday, free of charge.

The lodge was officially opened on Friday 9th February with our charity patron and namesake, Naomi Cornelius-Reid cutting the ribbon and welcoming the first family to enjoy a well-deserved holiday.

Arlo's family arrived to a beautiful forest-themed balloon arch surrounding the front door and a wonderful cake, baked with love by one of our nurses, for the family to enjoy.

Located within the Hoburne Bashley Holiday Park, the thoughtfully designed lodge provides a home-from-home for families. It is a comfortable and easy space for children and their families to enjoy together, all on the doorstep of the New Forest.  There are three bedrooms, including an adaptable bedroom that leads to an accessible wet-room. The wet-room has both a hoist and shower chair, which is essential supportive equipment for many children with life limiting and life threatening conditions.

A family that stayed in the lodge said:

The lodge was absolutely stunning. It was so spacious and had everything we needed in it.
To go away on holiday and have the specialised profiling bed and the huge wet room was
perfect. To have different scenery but also comfort for my daughter was everything
we wanted. It was a well needed, stress free break.

Situated within the superb park and facilities of Hoburne Bashley, we are proud to open our first ever accessible holiday lodge, ‘Naomi House in the Forest’. The lodge provides a welcome holiday for the children and families who use our hospice services at Naomi House. I am delighted with the feedback we’ve received from families so far. The mums, dads, brothers and sisters who visit our hospices can have very busy, stressful and complicated lives, and if ‘Naomi House in the Forest’ can provide them with a moment of tranquillity, fun or relaxation, that’s fantastic.
