I am delighted that, as a team, we have maintained our 'Outstanding' rating from the Care Quality Commission. This achievement is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional palliative care and support for children, young adults and their families. It reflects our charity’s Vision, where compassionate support and expert palliative care can be accessed when and where it is needed. It also supports our strategy: to reach more families and develop our services, and to collaborate with the healthcare system – in partnership. We will do this to ensure that Naomi House & Jacksplace continue to have a positive impact on the communities we serve. Together, we’re all looking forward to building on this success.

I recently joined the team at Naomi House & Jacksplace and I know just how hard it is to maintain a CQC rating of ‘Outstanding’. It fills me with pride to be welcomed into a supportive team that displays such remarkable dedication and compassion. Andy Meehan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Naomi House & Jacksplace, shared his thoughts on the achievement:

Achieving an 'Outstanding' rating once again is a moment of immense pride for our charity. It highlights the strong governance, effective leadership and dedication of the individuals across the organisation, from the trustees on our board, to our staff and volunteers. Their collective efforts ensure that we not only meet but exceed the expectations of those we care for. We set high standards and we work diligently and collaboratively towards our mission of providing outstanding, compassionate, expert care. We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in us by the families we support and the individuals and communities who give their time and money to support our charity.

— Andy Meehan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees

Our hospices provide expert care and support for children and young adults, as well as their families. We care for over 500 local families every year. To provide this level of outstanding care typically costs over £8 million every year, of which only 12% comes from government, meaning the majority comes from our local supporters. If you are reading this, and you've supported our charity in any way, thank you so much. It's because of you that we can continue to deliver vital care to those that need it most.
