Naomi House & Jacksplace events team
2017 has been a very busy year for the Naomi House & Jacksplace events team!
We've seen more than 5,436 participants at our events this year and our hundreds of wonderful volunteers too.
Two of those volunteers are sisters, Triff and Charlotte Wroe, of 2Shoez Fitness and Zumba in Dorset.
If you attended one of our events this year, you'll have seen them leading the warm up!
They bring a new routine to each event, packed with the fun-factor!
Events Fundraiser for Naomi House & Jacksplace, Charlotte Patrick, said:
Triff and Charlotte are a great bundle of energy, they help to create a fun atmosphere at each and every event they attend. I am extremely grateful to them as the events wouldn’t be the same without them.
On top of the need for volunteers to run our events, we also rely on the help and support of local businesses.
Fyffes bananas in Basingstoke often donate thousands of bananas for participants and Hildon Water, based in Broughton, also donate thousands of bottled water to keep our fundraisers hydrated during their challenge.
The Winchester branch of Brandon Tool Hire loan us their generators, ensuring we have power at our events, saving us £2,000 in hire charges! This money can instead be spent on caring for the regions life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their families.
A grand total of £418,877 has been raised from Naomi House & Jacksplace events this year, edging us ever closer to raising the £8.5 million needed every year to run our whole hospice service.
