Make Your Will Campaign raises much needed 9k

In Autumn 2020, we hosted our annual Make Your Will campaign, which was a success with 54 appointments booked and an incredible £9,000 raised for our hospices in a great time of need.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the changes we faced in our lives and working environments, our usual two week annual Make Your Will Fortnight was extended to 12 weeks, running from 7th September to 27th November 2020, and was adapted to allow alternative virtual appointments. Six solicitor firms covering 11 branch locations across our regions supported us during the campaign, offering people the chance to make their Wills and donate the service fee to Naomi House & Jacksplace. The participating solicitors successfully booked a whopping 54 appointments across the three months. With the majority of our fundraising physical events put on hold, this support from our solicitors was important to us more than ever!

The invaluable support from both the solicitors who waived their fees and those that took part in the campaign, making a donation in return for a Will, allowed us to continue to deliver our vital services to life limited and life threatened children, young adults and their families during this difficult time.

Parker Bullen was one of the soliciting firms that contributed its services to the campaign. The firm had the most appointment bookings out of all involved, including 18 appointments, which raised £1,885.

We are delighted that we have been able to support Naomi House & Jacksplace by drafting free Wills in return for donations to the hospices. We firmly believe in giving back to the local community, especially in the current climate, and what better way to put our skills to use than supporting such a fantastic Will Campaign?!

When speaking with clients it was evident that the hospice is doing a tremendous job in supporting children, young adults and their extended families, whether that be through their own experience with the hospice or through their close family and friends’ experiences. Thank you to our clients for sharing their stories with us and supporting the hospice in the way that they did, we are so pleased that our clients booked the most appointments for Naomi House & Jacksplace.

A huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part in last years’ campaign. It wouldn’t have been possible with you!
