Naomi House & Jacksplace annual gaming fundraiser, Game On!, brought gamers together to use their passion to make a difference for seriously ill children and young adults. The gaming fundraiser, raised an incredible £7,370 which could provide over 290 hours of expert nusing care for children and young adults who visit the hospices.

Over the weekend participants got involved in Game On! by livestreaming their favourite games and encouraging donations by playing for an extended period of time and taking on fun challenges. We welcomed returning gamers as well as some new faces, including Outright Games ambassadors and young adults who visit Jacksplace.

We started the Game On! weekend by playing fun games at Jacksplace and the festivities continued in the evening with a livestream from our hospices.

Chris Meany, Supporter Services Advisor at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:

This year, to kickstart Game On! we hosted our first-ever livestream from Jacksplace and it was a resounding success. For two thrilling hours, fundraising team members and a young adult who visits Jacksplace competed by playing games ranging from racing to football. Our viewers encouraged and joined in with their support via the chat and we were delighted to receive donations during the stream.

I had the privilege of watching all the streams and was deeply inspired by the unwavering support I saw in all of them. Each person brought a fantastic energy and creativity to Game On!. Many participants took on challenges like eating raw onions, donning costumes and shaving their heads live to encourage donations. The growth in support from the online gaming community has been incredible, and we are profoundly grateful to everyone who took part in making this event a success.
