Over 650 people put on their Santa suits to take part in our Santa Fun Runs in December. The annual event returned to Winchester and Salisbury, plus appeared in Poole for the very first time. One month since the jolly Santa Fun Runs and the fundraising event has raised over £37k which will support the vital work of the hospices.
The Santa Fun Run is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit with a festive warm-up followed by finishing their run in a flurry of snow.
Winchester has welcomed hundreds of Santa’s for this festive 5k run for the past 14 years. The route passes through the city and past a number of Winchester’s most famous attractions, including the King Alfred Statue and Winchester Cathedral before finsihing outside the Guildhall.
For Salisbury, the Santa fun returned for its second year. Despite the freezing conditions families still came along and raced through the streets of Salisbury, starting and ending by Salisbury Cathedral.
2022 was due to be the year that the Santa Fun Run launched in Poole for the first time ever. Unfortunately, as a result of icy and unsafe conditions the Poole Santa Fun Run was sadly cancelled. However, the participants still gathered at Poole Park lake to pick up their Santa Suits and medals. The dedication and support of our amazing participants was clear as many completed the Santa fun run in their own time and continued to raise money for Naomi House & Jacksplace.
We’re thrilled to see such fantastic support for Naomi House & Jacksplace. It was brilliant to see so many people get involved in a fun, colourful and festive challenge to raise money for their local hospices for children and young adults. I’ll look forward to seeing you all again next year!
Thank you to all of our amazing Santa Fun Run participants for supporting us at our jolliest event and raising vital junds for us.
