We have launched a Christmas appeal to ensure we can continue to make short lives sparkle over the festive season. By supporting our Christmas appeal you can help bring joy and laughter in this most difficult of years. Hear directly from Felicity’s mum, Sarah, what Christmas at Naomi House means to their family.
"We’ve been coming to Naomi House regularly for the last few years and it’s absolutely Felicity’s favourite place in the world. Her big brother Edward loves it too! Naomi House gives us a vital break from Felicity’s care needs. The nurses whisk her off when we get there and she has the most fabulous time – and we get to spend precious time focussing on our son.
"The pandemic has taken Naomi House away from all of us and it’s been very upsetting and stressful. Now that we’re back under more restrictions, it’s hard to know when we’ll be able to come back again, and that’s really worrying.
"We know the whole team at the hospice are trying everything they can to allow Felicity to come in for a special visit over Christmas. This would be just huge for her. She is visually impaired, but loves lights and anything that sparkles!
Our brightest, happiest experiences as a family have been at Naomi House – and Christmas last year was the most extraordinary time. Taking Felicity around the house, seeing all the lights twinkling away, discovering all the elves and the toys, and then meeting Father Christmas. I will never forget the look on her face.
"If you can support the Naomi House appeal it will help to give my little girl, and so many like her, the most magical experience this Christmas. I can only say a sincere ‘Thank You’ for any gift you can give."
