Band use their love for music to raise funds

On Saturday 22nd Jan, the prog-rock covers band, Progspawn, return to play at the Railway Inn Winchester to raise funds for Naomi House & Jacksplace whilst jointly supporting Winchesters’ only grass-roots music venue during these difficult times.

In 2020, Progspawn put on a fantastic fundraiser for the charity and the evening was a great success. Their dedicated fans came out in the cold of winter to hear the music they love and to support Naomi House & Jacksplace. Their event raised a brilliant £500 and they are hoping to raise even more this year.

The Band commented,

The support Naomi House & Jacksplace provides to families, children and young people is beyond price, and using our time and ‘hobby’ to raise money to help is our way of giving something back.

There is much anticipation for this year's event and with at least 1 hour extra of new material, the audience will definitely get their value for money and the chance to join together to celebrate the creative genius of well-loved bands.

For all of us music is an enduring joy and recreating the work of such creative bands as Pink Floyd, Genesis, Supertramp etc. in live performance, let’s us share that joy with others.

Progspawn is Colin, Gill, John, Rich and Roger – come and say hi, enjoy some wonderful progressive music and drinks with friends in the UV-Air-Filtered, COVID-safe ‘Platform 1’ of the Railway Inn and help us raise much needed funds for such a deserving cause.
