Claire conquers the London Marathon!

Claire Sparrowhawk - London Marathon

Naomi House & Jacksplace supporter, Claire Sparrowhawk from Malmesbury, Wiltshire, gave up her Sunday to take on the London Marathon for us.

The London Marathon walking challenge with Discover Adventure, saw participants tackle a 26.2 mile route, taking in famous landmarks and the lesser-known corners of the capital along the way.

Claire raised £440 for our hospices by doing this challenge. That's enough two days of care for a child staying in our Butterfly or Ocean and told us:

That's enough to fund two family rooms for a long weekend stay at the hospices, meaning families are able to stay with their child during a respite break.

She told us:

I felt every single step of the 26.2 miles and my legs now feel like they've been battered by a million hammers! A few blisters gained and a few Gin & Tonics downed afterwards, but boy I'm glad it's over, that was seriously tough going! A pleasure to take part for such a fantastic cause!

Well done and thank you, Claire!
