The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, often within 24 hours. The three peaks are Ben Nevis at 1,344m, Scafell Pike at 978m and Snowdon, which stands at 1,085m. This challenge is tough.
The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - The total driving distance is 462 miles.
The 24 hour clock only starts ticking from when the first climb is started, and it stops when you have descended the final peak.
