Here are just a few reasons why you should make a Will:
Ensure your loved ones are looked after when you're gone, including guardians for your children
Leave gifts to friends, family and charity
Minimise family disputes
Allow your belongings to go to the right place
For unmarried couples, Wills are particularly important if you want to leave a legacy to your partner
Help support families like Logan-Ann's
“We try and treat every day as special and cram each one with making memories. Having the support of Naomi House means that Logan-Ann can have the care that she needs and she can do things that we aren’t able to do at home."
Simply call the solicitor of your choice during opening hours, between the dates of 4th September and 31stOctober, to book an initial appointment. The appointment itself doesn’t need to be within those dates.
At the initial appointment you will explain what you want i.e. what assets you have and who you want to benefit, and the solicitor will tell you if this can be done as a basic or standard Will. The solicitor will then agree with you the donation to be made to Naomi House & Jacksplace. If your Will is not basic e.g. involves tax or other specialised legal advice, the solicitor will tell you and agree the donation before going ahead.
If what you need requires specialist advice that cannot be included under the scheme, the solicitor will advise you of this and give you a separate price for that work. All participating solicitors reserve the right to charge you a fee if your Will is not basic or standard.
There is no obligation to include Naomi House & Jacksplace in your Will, but if you do choose to leave a gift to the hospices, it would be very much appreciated.
