Our network of 22 retail stores represents the charity on the High Streets and in the communities of the towns in our region. Our Retail teams of staff and volunteers are the welcoming faces of our stores. Along with clothing, shoes, accessories, and bric-a-brac, we offer a wide selection of quality donated electrical items to buy for the home and office.
Since we were able to re-open all our shops and Warehouse on 12 April, the number of donated electrical items has increased considerably, and we are now looking for 1 or 2 PAT Testers to support the Retail team based at our Warehouse in Winnall (near Winchester) with this important safety role.
Volunteer PAT testers play a critical role in helping us sell electrical goods. They are responsible for testing the appliances to ensure their safety prior to them being put on sale. They may also test some of the other equipment used for running a shop.
Ideally, we would need one or two half days of your time per week, depending on how many items we need to have tested and ready for sale.
No previous experience of PAT testing is required as we will provide training, although having previous electrical testing experience and or a relevant qualification, would be ideal.
