Practice Education Lead

We are looking for a senior nurse with education experience to manage the Practice Education Team and work alongside the other Clinical Team Leaders providing support, leadership and direction to the Care Team. Your role is demonstrating excellent clinical practice, providing mentorship, and developing knowledge and skills in line with the needs of our children and young people.

As the lead educator you will maintain and further develop clinical training programmes for all care professionals in the Trust, in line with our agreed educational strategy. This will include supporting clinical theory and skills assessments, continued development of a robust clinical competency framework and assisting with the regular review of skill mix and care needs. In addition, you will work directly within the clinical area, advising and supporting the development of competency and confidence. You will therefore need to be an excellent practitioner who is seen as a role model.

About you:

A qualified paediatric, adult, or dual registered nurse with proven experience in leadership, education or training, you must have up to date experience with a range of clinical skills including invasive and non-invasive respiratory support; IV and central line management; and experience of nursing care at end of life. Excellent interpersonal skills and good presentation skills are also important.

Salary range:

£44,331 to £53,080
