Nurse (Band 5 Equivalent)

Closing date: 31/12/2018

Location: Naomi House & Jacksplace, Sutton Scotney, Winchester

Join our team of extraordinary nurses and never look back, with one of the most rewarding careers in the industry.

Salary:

Up to £29,000

Key responsibilities:

We’ll be clear from the start. This is a very different kind of nursing role than you’ll find in the NHS. It’s about caring for children and young adults with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, whether they are with us for a relaxing short break, emergency care or for end of life.

So you’re here for good days, difficult days and last days and which is why our nurses believe this is quite possibly the most rewarding job in the profession. It’s also a hugely diverse role. You simply don’t know what each day will bring. That’s why a genuinely flexible approach is so important, as well as a combination of excellent clinical skills and a sensitive and compassionate nature.

A background in palliative care would be welcomed, but it’s not essential. Just as long as you’ve at least 12 months post-qualification experience gained in any area – and you’ve the special qualities we’re looking for – we’d love to hear from you.

There’s plenty of training and development on offer, as well as a range of excellent benefits. So if you think you’d thrive within our close-knit multidisciplinary team as you make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people, you can download a full job description at the bottom of this page.

Successful applicants will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly Criminal Records Bureau).

We are an Equal Opportunities employer, welcoming applications from all sections of the community.

We offer a comprehensive induction and training programme, 28 days holiday, pension (continuation in the NHS for those already contributing to it), free meals on duty and free parking, and a modern and pleasant work environment.

Car owner preferred as we are in a remote location.
