The event attracts thousands of runners from elite athletes to enthusiastic amateurs.
Covering a distance of 10 miles, the scenic route takes runners past historic landmarks and along the picturesque seafront.
This route is perfect for all running abilities from beginner’s right through to experienced runners trying to beat a PB.
Option 1: £15 + Sponsorship Target
This option allows you to pay a low registration fee for your place and raise vital funds for the hospices. We kindly ask that you aim to raise a minimum £149 in sponsorship.
Option 2: £40 + Raise What You Can
This option allows you to pay for your place in full and raise what you can to support the hospices. Any money you can raise will help make a big difference to the lives of those in our care.
When you sign up to run for us, we’ll send you a fundraising pack with a free buff and top ideas and tools to help with fundraising. Ahead of the run you will also receive your very own branded Naomi House & Jacksplace running vest with transfer letters for customisation.
By joining Team Naomi you have entry to our dedicated Facebook group. This is a team like no other as you will have access to GB coach and founder of 'Running With Us", Nick Anderson. He and his team will give you the best top tips and advice to support you in your running challenge as well as a training guide.

You will also get support from Kris & Lucy at Winchester Wellness. Kris is an osteopath and Lucy is a physiotherapist & clinical Pilates instructor. They will provide you with little bite size pieces of advice within the group as well as answering any injury, recovery, or pain questions that you may have.
If all of that isn’t enough, on the day, we have a cheer squad to support all our runners along the route.
The AJ Bell Great South Run is probably the world’s favourite 10 mile running event.
Great South Run starts and finishes on Clarence Esplanade in Southsea, the fast and flat course takes you through Old Portsmouth, home of the Portsmouth Cathedral, before entering the Historic Dockyard. Running past the Royal Navy’s current naval ships, and some of the most famous in the world – including HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose museum.
After exiting the Dockyard you reach the halfway point on Winston Churchill Avenue, before making your way back towards Southsea Common, where you’ll complete the final two miles on the scenic seafront.
