Top comedians come together to raise money
On Sunday, we presented our first comedy night at Theatre Royal Winchester. The evening brought together world-class comedians and around 11k was raised to support the important important work we deliver.
The popular comedy night sold out in a record breaking 28 hours after going on sale. The evening was hosted by Winchester’s very own comedy legend, Paul McCaffrey who was joined on stage by some of the biggest names from the UK Comedy Circuit: Romesh Ranganathan, Cally Beaton, Esther Manito and Gbemi Oladipo.
The evening was a great success and had the audience in fits of laughter. During the interval, there was a raffle, with proceeds to Naomi House & Jacksplace, where lucky audience members could win signed posters of the event, so they could take a bit of the star-studded evening home with them.
All of the performers generously volunteered their time for our event and we are beyond grateful. The money raised from the evening could fund 500 hours of expert nursing care.
What a fantastic night! It was an honour to be asked to help organise this event for such a wonderful organisation and I’m so delighted with how it went. All of the incredible acts gave their time for the cause and put on a great show and the audience were an absolute dream! Can’t wait to do it all again next year.
