Employee benefits provider hustles for hospices

Unum staff posing after Hustle challenge

The team at employee benefits provider, Unum, recently took part in the Naomi House & Jacksplace ‘Hustle’ challenge, with the aim of securing items for our care floor and prizes for fundraising use.

The Executive Committee hustled with sheer commitment and in under two hours, secured some incredible items, including a week’s holiday in Edinburgh and a once in a lifetime opportunity to play golf at Wentworth Golf Club.

Unum employees were split into two teams, as they were keen to create some friendly competition. Different items secured in a Hustle carry different amounts of points, so the teams could compete against each other to get the most and be award the winners’ certificate at the end.

Unum’s Senior Manager, working in Corporate Sustainability & CSR, Susan, said:

Running the Hustle Challenge with Connor for Unum’s Board and Senior Leadership Team was an absolutely brilliant experience. The planning and logistics in the run-up to the event were fantastic and Connor was so supportive throughout the process.

After over two years of not being able to run any CSR activities in-person, being able to do this felt really special and it was absolutely amazing to see every team member get so behind the task - everyone really gave their all to secure as many items as possible for the charity. We would absolutely recommend running this activity to anyone looking for an engaging, high energy, competitive and fun event!
