5k race returns to Solent Airport

Runners gathered at an airport

We are proud to share that Solent Airport 5k is returning on Sunday 23rd June 2024. This 5k run is a one-of-a-kind event that offers runners an unforgettable experience to ‘run the runway’ at Solent Airport.

Embrace the excitement of running down a runway that is normally reserved for airplanes. The runway course is flat, straight and free from any obstacles and traffic – a superb route for that all important ‘personal best’ time.

By taking part in this incredible event, you will be supporting us to continue being their for our families on the good days, difficult days and last days.

In 2023, this was such a fantastic event for us, raising over £6,000 for Naomi House & Jacksplace. In 2024, the run will be bigger and better as we allow more runners to take part. We are grateful to Solent Airport and Fareham Borough Council for welcoming us back and are really looking forward to meeting all the 2024 runners.

— Charlotte Patrick, Events Team Leader at Naomi House & Jacksplace

We were delighted that this year’s event proved so successful for Naomi House & Jacksplace and of course are very happy to welcome them back to the airport in 2024. Solent Airport lends itself extremely well to events such as this and provides a great opportunity for people to raise money for a worthwhile charity in a setting that is unique to Fareham.

— Cllr Seán Woodward, Executive of Fareham Borough Council

The run will be chip timed and runners of all abilities & speeds will be welcomed.

The run will take place on Sunday 23rd June, starting at 08:00. Participants need to be at least 16 years of age and entry is £12.50. Be one of the first 200 registrations a receive a discounted entry of just £10 per place.
