Maintenance Assistant

At Naomi House & Jacksplace, we provide individualised care and much needed respite and support for life limited and life threatened children, young adults and the whole family, on the good days, difficult days and last days. This care continues for as long as a family needs.

We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality of care and keeping our premises in top condition plays a vital role in that. With two high quality hospices, 21 charity shops across the south and other premises, our facilities team have plenty on their to do lists.

Responsibilities:

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to provide support to the maintenance team in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of all Trust buildings and grounds.

You will work under supervision of the maintenance engineers and collaborate with other team members to maintain a safe and effective environment. Your role involves performing a wide range of general maintenance tasks and assisting with repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Have a full driving license.
  • Have proven experience in a similar role or willingness to learn and develop maintenance skills.
  • Have well developed interpersonal skills and be able to                    communicate effectively with a wide range of people.


Flexibility in working hours is required, including the ability to work unsociable hours including on-call (normally 1:3).

Salary:

£26,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent upon experience.
