Greenham Common Trust Match Funding
The Greenham Common Trust will match fund every pound donated through the Trust's Good Exchange page, up to the value of £8,000.
Naomi House & Jacksplace has partnered with Berkshire-based Greenham Common Trust to provide play therapy for local children and young adults with life threatening or life limiting illnesses.
Play therapy has become an effective form of counselling for children of all ages and is a child led non-directive intervention that uses play and the creative arts to allow children to explore their feelings and express themselves in their own time, at their own pace.
Our play therapists at Naomi House & Jacksplace build trusting relationships with every child and, through the safe and comfortable space of our play room, they can begin to make sense of some of the difficulties faced by a life limited or life threatened child. Play therapy can help promote resilience and confidence within a child. It can support the development of healthy relationships, improving their ability to trust themselves and reduce anxiety.
One session of play therapy costs £30 and Naomi House & Jacksplace currently cares for more than 500 life threatened or life limited children and young adults. Donate to the Greenham Common Trust play therapy project today and provide invaluable play to those children.
Greenham Trust is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. The Trust has a distinguished group of local people acting as Patrons, a Board of Directors and two Distribution Committees, who make decisions about charitable grants. All these people give their time and expertise freely. There is also a dedicated body of staff who administer the Trust's affairs.
If you'd like to donate, please ensure you do so on the Greenham Common Trust Good Exchange page to make sure your donation is matched.
