Garden of Roses Campaign
We've teamed up with a local blacksmith to create unique handcrafted roses to honour our tradition. Get your own rose and be part of our tradition.
Beautiful unique locally handcrafted metal roses will be on display at the Winchester Cathedral Refectory Courtyard. These roses are part of our Garden of Roses campaign which honours our yearly tradition of paying our rent.
Location: The Refectory, Great Minster Street, SO23 9HE
Date: 7-15th September
Time: 10am - 4pm
You do not have to pre-book to view the roses.
Every year, on or around Midsummer's Day, Naomi House & Jacksplace give 12 red roses as peppercorn rent to Naomi and David Cornelius-Reid. This beautiful tradition has a long history, originating before Naomi House first opened in 1997.
To honour this tradition, we’ve teamed up with a local blacksmith who will be creating handmade unique metal roses, for you to treasure, gift to a friend or have in memory of a loved one.
By leaving a donation to our Garden of Roses campaign you can get your own unique, locally crafted metal rose. There are 4 beautiful designs for you to choose from. Your rose will be part of the display, available for you to view before taking it home. Find out more below.
