Clarendon Way Walk raises £105k for our hospices

In June, over 500 people fastened their walking boots and took on our annual Clarendon Way Walk, a beautiful countryside walk between Winchester Cathedral and Salisbury Cathedral. The challenge is to complete the 26, 12 or 5 mile distance through the countryside.

The Clarendon Way Walk has now raised £105,000 for the hospices.

We are absolutely thrilled that the Clarendon Way Walk has raised an incredible amount for Naomi House & Jacksplace! A huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who fundraised for the hospices, your support means the world to us. The sponsorship helps us continue providing vital care to families across central south England whose children have incredibly complex medical needs. And we’re already full of excitement for 2026, when we’ll be celebrating the 20th year of this amazing event!

This year, our incredible participants received a special eco-friendly medal, marking a significant step in the our ongoing efforts to make our events more sustainable.

We have been actively working to reduce our carbon footprint and make our events more environmentally friendly. Some of the initiatives include using previous years' stock of t-shirts instead of ordering new ones, switching to refillable water stations instead of single-use water bottles, and implementing collection dates for t-shirts to avoid postal deliveries.

In collaboration with Earth Runs, we provided sustainable medals that are fully biodegradable and plastic-free. Each medal contains a wildflower seed, allowing participants to plant it  and be able to celebrate their achievement for years. Additionally, for every medal sold, a tree will be planted in it's place. These medals are handmade by a social enterprise set up by Earth Runs that offers employment opportunities to individuals facing challenging circumstances.

We are astounded by the support we have received from the Clarendon Way Walk. Every single person who has donated is helping us to continue planning, building and developing our services for the families in our care. We provide 24-7 expert palliative care and we couldn’t do it without the passion and dedication from our supporters.
