On 22nd August, Lucy from Warrington will take on a skydive in memory of her cousin Elouise and to raise funds for Naomi House & Jacksplace.

I’ve volunteered to skydive to raise funds for Jacksplace. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to look after our beloved Elouise in her most vulnerable times.
At 3 months old, Elouise was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition which then led to additional medical complexities. During her life, Elouise routinely visited Naomi House & Jacksplace for respite stays.
At the age of 26, Elouise spent the final 3 months of her life at Jacksplace before using our bereavement suite, Ocean.
Elouise was more like a sister to me than a cousin, having lived with us since she was 13 when we lost her mum, my auntie.

As well as being cousins, Lucy and Elouise were very close friends. Their deep friendship was made richer by creating special moments together. They spent time together going out to play Bingo, crafting with each other or simply laughing at silly animal videos. These are such important memories.

Helping raise funds for Naomi House & Jacksplace makes me feel like Elouise is still here as it was so recent and also, I understand how important it is to give back and help however I can. Especially seeing the wonderful care Elouise was given, when everyone expected her to survive weeks but it turned into 3 months, plus the fact I stayed with her the whole time so I could continue to care for her too. That was a blessing.
We wish Lucy the best of luck with her fundraising and have great fun taking on a sky dive!
