What do you call 18 Wooly Jumpers from The Andover Tap at the Lamb? Absolutely awesome! On Saturday 19 August, 18 brave staff and customers from The Andover Tap, all faced their fears and did something amazing for our hospices. Gathered at the Old Sarum Airfield, near Salisbury, The Wooly Jumpers included Tim Abram, the landlord of The Andover Tap, barmaid Willow Phillips Smith and 16 others from the pub's special community.
With great weather and spirits high, the entire group prepared for the skydive and experienced a day they will never forget. The group, supported by friends and family, raised an outstanding amount of £10,010 for Naomi House & Jacksplace.
Matt Mutton, Bar Manager at The Andover Tap, said:
Some of them were nervous, but when they came back they couldn’t stop smiling the whole weekend! It’s all about the community spirit, and we have a really good community. They paid for it from their own back pockets, and everything we raised is all for Naomi House & Jacksplace.

This year, the skydive was just one of the many activities that The Andover Tap has done for our hospices. From raffles and shaved beards, to Gurkha curries and football scratch cards, not forgetting their infamous swear jar, they have raised over £14,000 to support families in our care.
Lynda Crook, Senior Fundraiser at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:
What a special and kind group I have had the absolute pleasure to get to know over the last year. Tim, Matt and the entire team have really gone above and beyond in engaging their whole community in supporting Naomi House & Jacksplace. The skydive represented everything this pub is about: support, togetherness, fun, laughter, inclusivity, camaraderie and community. Cheers to The Andover Tap! A place where everybody definitely knows your name.
