On your screens on Facebook Live at 8pm every night

Naomi & Jack's Sessions is a series of virtual charity gigs featuring local artists playing at 8pm on Facebook Live every weekday evening.

Music is such a major part of our daily life at Naomi House & Jacksplace, and we truly believe it has the power to uplift us and join us together in these uncertain times. What better way to uplift our communities, staff and families, whilst raising vital funds for our charity, than teaming up with the local music community?! 

We've been running Naomi & Jack's Sessions for 11 weeks now, which has raised more than £10,500 for our charity - thank you so much to everyone that has tuned in, commented, liked and donated so far, we are so grateful for your support in these times.

We might continue the gigs on a weekly basis, but for now, tune in to our final week, featuring experimental indie sets, emo/punk pop guitar riffs, satirical songs, folk pop, rockabilly music and a Friday night drumming gig with a difference.

How do I tune in?

Each wonderful artist hosting a gig for us will be streaming live on their personal Facebook page. Keep an eye on our page though, as we will be releasing the live feed just before the artist goes live.

Karan Master
Karan is a local artist, musician & producer who has developed his own guitar led style combining emo/pop punk with rhythmic grooves and elements, inspired by funk and neo soul. This year, Karan showcased his first self produced release, ‘Secrets’.

Check out his epic guitar riffs with his takeover of Naomi & Jack's Sessions, featuring a mix of originals and covers, on Tuesday night at 8pm!

Described as ‘erudite, challenging and morose’ by NME’s Amrik Rai, and as ‘one of England’s best undiscovered songwriters' by LouderThanWar, Dan O’Farrell is a Southampton-based purveyor of radical, romantic ‘snark-folk’ music. 

​​Both solo and with his band, The Difference Engine, Dan has been playing bigger shows in the last 4 years, including Wickham, Bestival and Victorious festivals and support slots for The Levellers, Griff Rhys, John Power, Wreckless Eric, Steve Mason and Ian Hunter. 

​​He released his second album with The Difference Engine in 2018 – ‘These Dark Ages Are Hurting All The People That We Love’ - which garnered fantastic reviews and was named in LouderThanWar’s ‘Top 50 Albums of the Year’. ​​The Difference Engine’s as-yet-untitled 3rd album – recorded with mighty producer Andy Lewis (Acid Jazz, Paul Weller) - is due later this year.

Lee Desty
Lee is a mad keen finger-style guitarist and local singer-songwriter of folk pop, country and rockabilly music from Southampton!

Described as 'a true master of his craft', Lee is influenced by the likes of Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Ralph McTell, John Martyn, Al Stewart, Don McClean, Nick Drake and Cat Stevens. He has fans all over the world and in 2018, his single 'Always Reminders' won the Hollywood USA Song Contest! Last year, he also supported Graeme Clark, writer of some of Wet, Wet, Wet's songs in concert.

Tune in on Thursday evening to enjoy a mix of original songs and covers, with a light, enjoyable and comical gig from the brilliant Lee Desty!

Luke Garnes
Luke Garnes is a local drummer and percussionist from Southampton, who performs with bands, in clubs, pubs and restaurants and at weddings and private functions.

Luke plays high energy drumming sets to his online audience, and has drummed up quite a following, being a bit of a celebrity in Southampton! Tune in on Friday night for a fun-packed, energy filled drumming gig - something different from the norm that'll certainly create Fri-yay vibes!

Ollie Wade
Ollie is no stranger to Naomi House & Jacksplace, as he wrote a single about his brother, Ben, who used to attend the hospices. Since then, he has performed at various charity gigs for us, and most recently supported Andy Burrows at our intimate Christmas gig. Ollie is a singer-songwriter from Winchester and brings an original and fresh new sound into the music industry. With honest and vulnerable lyrics, heartfelt performances and catchy melodies, his songs always leave the listener engaged, inspired and wanting more.

Michael Baker
Michael is a talented singer-songwriter from Brighton, now living in London, who pours his heart and soul into his music, which really shines through in his songs. He will be performing tracks from his current album ‘Salt’ and previous album 'Dust &Bone'.

FLOWVERS formed in 2016 with four teenage mates from Portsmouth, taking inspiration from the sound of the late 80's & 90’s through to now, from The Stone Roses and The Cure, to Peace and Jaws. They have just released their debut Throwaway Generation EP with support from R1, BBC Introducing, Radio X, Spotify, Apple Beats, BT TV and VEVO. Matisse Moretti, the lead singer will be playing a solo acoustic set for Naomi House & Jacksplace.

Harvey Jay Dodgson
Harvey is an 18 year old singer-songwriter from Portsmouth whose influences range from Miles Kane to Jamie T to Gus Dapperton. In the early stages of his career, his debut release ‘Indigo’ was featured by BBC Introducing. Be prepared to be wowed by his stunning song writing and stage presence.

Emilia is a piano playing, singer-songwriter from Winchester who had her debut single ‘If You Want Love’ featured on Love Island – reaching the UK Shazam charts at Number 16 and achieving over 500k streams. Emilia has worked with some industry greats and is garnering a slew of industry interest.

Danielle Celeste
Danielle is a 24 year old, country influenced singer-songwriter from Bristol, who is blessed with a 3.5 octave vocal range! She has two Nashville writing trips under her belt, including sessions with Jeff Cohen (The Shires) and Helen Boulding (Ward Thomas). Look out for debut music forthcoming later this year!

Helena Mace
Helena is a country/pop singer-songwriter and multi genre covers vocalist from Bournemouth who has been performing for many years. She was voted Global Artist of the year and Song of the Year in Canada and had 7 nominations for UK Country Radio, Female Vocalist, Artist and Album of the Year, where she was a finalist.

Joe Bradwell
Joe is an 18 year old singer and guitarist from Havant, who mainly plays covers, from Ed Sheeran and George Ezra, to Radiohead and Queen. Joe has recently been cheering up his local neighbourhood by playing live sets out loud from his garden!

Ollie Butler 
Ollie Butler is a singer-songwriter from Southampton. He is the lead vocalist in Minus Alive, an alternative rock band of four. Ollie is a true guitar hero and a firm favourite on the Southampton music scene, regularly playing live gigs across the city.

Fugitive Orchestra
Fusing together beatboxing, live-looping and guitar, Fugitive Orchestra makes music best described as alternative jazz-infused, bluesy hip-pop; drawing inspiration from the likes of Andrew Bird, LCD Soundsystem, Talking Heads, Paul Simon, Kate Bush and the Blue Nile.

Week 3:

Gecko is a London based artist that tells quirky stories through his songs, merging stand up comedy, storytelling and music into one, sparking laughter and joy from his audiences. He's as likely to be found performing in a living room (as he will be for us) or spoken word night, as regular music venues and festivals.

CHERRY is a music artist from Bournemouth, who combines a luscious mix of soul, psychedelic rock and dream pop in her deeply captivating and original sound. Her popular debut single, Rhythm, pulsates through psychedelic post grunge rock, revealing CHERRY's richly delicate vocal all sublimely bathed in her glorious West-Coast-inspired guitar sound!

Lee Rasdall-Dove
Lee is an indie/pop singer/songwriter from Bournemouth. Over recent years he’s built up an enviable reputation as an engaging and innovative solo performer. His songwriting is fantastic and his use of understated effects really makes his performances stand out. 

Lee recently released 'Toss a Coin To Your Nurses', a timely tribute to the NHS workers and volunteers going over and above in this surreal time. Check it out on his Instagram!

PENN is a pop/contemporary R&B artist from Southampton. PENN's music encapsulates strong values including empowerment, confidence and self-validation which is demonstrated through their lyrics and on stage and off stage personality. PENN's fierce and powerful vocals, accompanied by their moving and empowering lyrics allow for their music to be emotionally heard. PENN draws their vocal influences from artists including Beyonce, Adele and Whitney Houston. As for their songwriting style, this follows from artists such as Sam Smith and Jessie J.

Firewoodisland is the alias of Bristol-based Norwegian/Welsh multi-instrumentalists and songwriters Stian Vedøy and Abi Eleri. Their emotive, dynamic vocal harmonies combined with organic and digital instruments creates an atmospheric soundscape that is moving yet striking.

They've picked up praise from the likes of Q Magazine, BBC Introducing, BBC 6Music and Clash Magazine, which resulted in them performing on the BBC Introducing stage at Latitude and supporting Bear's Den!

Week 4:

One Last Thrill - Oscar & Steph
One Last Thrill are a modern rock band from Hampshire, featuring Steph on lead vocals, Oscar on guitar, Gareth on bass and Josh on Drums. The band's unique sound consists of hard hitting guitar riffs, gritty bass lines, punchy drums and distinct vocal melodies.

Maddison Douch
Maddison is a solo singer-songwriter from Hampshire, and the leader singer of indie/pop rock band, The Moorside. Last year, Maddison and the band volunteered and performed at Jestival, a festival hosted at Jacksplace for the young adults, so is no stranger to our charity. 

She's performed at a multitude of events and prestigious venues and has recently started Andover based choir, ‘Mad Melodies’.

Singer Stu
Stuey is a guitarist and vocalist from Southampton, who plays solo covers and originals. He is frontman for three piece band, The Circadians, and guitarist for The Morphic Fields and C90. 

Stuey is no stranger to our charity, as he regularly visits and plays songs for the children and families at Naomi House. Because he currently can't share his songs with our family, he decided to play a solo set into our supporters' lounges instead!

Jonny Vernam Music
Jonny is an alternative acoustic singer songwriter from the New Forest. Jonny writes and performs melodic songs with gentle harmonies, bringing music that you can feel. His style is best described as ‘acoustic folk emo with harmonies & hooks’. Jonny is a music teacher by day and works with several music schools in Hampshire. 

Naomi House is a charity close to Jonny’s heart as his family have experienced the exceptional things the charity do for families first hand, as their disabled son, Alfie, has regularly benefited from the brilliant services they have to offer.

Henry Newbury
Henry is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Southampton, who recently won Pride In London’s Pride’s Got Talent Music competition for 2019. He’s also a producer in Southampton and runs various music events across the city.

His genre is mostly piano driven pop/rock and varies from heart-felt emotional tunes to more upbeat thumping tracks, often looping piano, guitar and synths.

Joe Johnson
Joe is a folk singer-songwriter from Portsmouth. Joe has always loved performing and at the age of 24, he begun sharing his music at local pubs, festivals and busking. Inspired by the likes of Stu Larsen, Damien Rice and Cat Stevens, Joe combines his love for words with simple melodies, backed by his guitar and unique voice to create heart-warming ballads. 
In November 2018 he self-released his first EP called 'Home'.

Mo Woods is a Mezzo Soprano from Southampton with over 25 years of performing experience. Mo has a genuinely natural style of voice for jazz. A performance with Mo allows you to feel a depth of experience and story telling, featuring the favourite jazz standards you know and love, as well as alternative covers to surprise you. Connected spiritually and physically to all she sings, she’ll bring you everything she has to give in that moment.

Abi Carr
22 year old Abi is a musician and student from Southampton. She said: "I've been playing various instruments and singing since I can remember and I truly believe that music is magic. Being invited to be a part of Naomi and Jack's Sessions is an incredible honour. My first experience with the charity was performing with a group of local artists to sing Forevermore and it was an amazing experience. I'm so excited for the opportunity to use my love for music to help such a worthwhile cause and hopefully bring smiles to some faces during these hard times with a feel good gig!"

Davey Anscombe from Rough Cut
Rough Cut is a band from Portsmouth, that offers quality covers and original music, playing at parties, pubs and special events. The band plays a huge mix of classic covers including The Proclaimers, Snow Patrol, Beatles, Queen and Trex. The band features Davey on Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar, Rob on Bass, Jon on Drums and Backing Vocals and Simon on Lead Guitar.

Calum Lintott
Calum's mix of indie pop coupled with loud rock n' roll guitars will get your feet stomping for sure. His powerfully boisterous and anthemic vocal delivery, groove laden drums and undeniably catchy melodies continue to wow crowds and regularly sell out shows. Calum has played on some massive stages, including The Isle Of Wight Festival and Common People, and his latest two releases ‘Hideaway’ & ‘Get Up And Dance’ have stepped up the energetic vibe as his sound continues to grow and develop.

Harry Smith
Harry Smith is a 16 year old singer songwriter from Whiteley. He is also frontman of blues/rock band, Rust. As a solo artist, he mainly writes blues and indie folk songs. He also plays brilliant covers including Eric Clapton, Harry Styles and more. Harry said: "I love writing and performing to people and hope to carry on doing so for a long time."

Aidan and Kelly Hampson
Aidan is a local bassist and guitarist from Southampton. He plays for rock band, Dlugokecki, and was heavily involved in the creation of our charity single, Forevermore, written by the band's lead singer, Ben.

Aidan is also a bass and guitar teacher who has taught the likes of Southampton FC players, Danny Ings and Jack Stephens, who he also arranged to be featured on Forevermore.

Aidan performed an acoustic set for Naomi House & Jacksplace with his wife and singer, Kelly Hampson.

Sugarman Sam is a blues/rock guitarist and singer from Basingstoke, taking influence from past greats such as Eric Clapton, Cream, Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin. Known as the 'Purveyor of White-Hot Blues/Rock', Sam has plied his trade by touring across the UK, playing festivals such as HRH Blues, The Great British R&B Festival and Kent Bluesrockfest and appearing in national publications ‘Blues Matters’ and ‘Blues in Britain’.

24 year old Tom Martin is a singer songwriter, who covers a variety of genres including eclectic Indie, Folk, Soul, Rock, Pop and Rap! His music covers, the euphoria of youth, post-university blues, love, loss and everything in between. Conveyed through delicate guitar work, honest lyrics and emotion, his songs are just as likely to make you cry as smile.

Tom's music has been described by BBC Berkshire as 'warmly honest and captivating... I could listen to him all night’!

Lisa from Sunstreets
Lisa is a local singer/songwriter from Southampton and lead vocals of pop/rock band, Sunstreets. The band form a unique melodic rock sound combined with female vocals, creating an easy listening feel, alongside strong riffs and lyrical meaning. The band draws inspiration from the likes of Stereophonics, Coldplay and U2.

Lisa was one of the local talented musicians that featured on our charity single, Forevermore, and is returned to support us again by taking over Naomi & Jack's Sessions.

Iain Scott Music
Iain Scott is a folk rock guitarist and vocalist from Southampton. He plays his own original music and brilliant covers of bands including Queen, Michael Jackson, Ed Sheeran, John Butler Trio and more. He mainly performs at private/corporate events, weddings and pubs, and also teaches guitar.

Rob Clamp
Rob Clamp is a local singer-songwriter from Southampton. He performs at shows across the south coast, playing his own music and a unique twist on popular covers. He has a mixed vibe, and is as likely to make you dance around your kitchen as he is to make you feel chilled and relaxed. Rob has done a lot of travelling in his time which is represented in his lyrics, alongside general life and 'foolish situations' he gets himself into!

Grace Savage
Grace Savage is an electro-pop singer, songwriter and 4x UK Beatboxing champion!

With ongoing support from BBC Introducing and listed as one of ELLE’s ‘100 Most Inspiring Women’, Grace is making waves in the music industry. Following the release of her debut EP 'Savage Grace' in 2017, Grace was nominated for 'Best Female Solo Act' & 'Best Songwriter' at the Unsigned Music Awards.

Will McNicol
Will is an acoustic guitarist, composer, performer and music tutor from Bournemouth. His music is influenced by styles from all over the world, and has been described as “At once soothing and uplifting...exceptional” by Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Will holds Associate, Licentiate and Fellowship diplomas with Trinity College London in Classical Guitar Recital and has released four critically acclaimed albums.

He is no stranger to Naomi House, as he recently collaborated with string quartet, Innotet, to create a song for our charity called 'A Dozen Red Roses', all about the peppercorn rent of 12 red roses we pay every year on Midsummer's Day.

Steve Lowis
Steve is a folk/pop singer-songwriter from Southampton. He has been a major contributor to the local music scene both playing live and organising band and acoustic events in the city. He is the Sofar Sounds - Southampton leader, and also runs Sound Level Events, an events team who arrange corporate and public events in unique places around Hampshire.

Steve released his new album, 'Chapters' in 2017 and is currently working on his new EP, Second Hand Books. Hear a mixture of songs from his album and some of his brilliant covers in Steve's feel good gig this Friday 15th May!

Week 8:

Emily Pellatt
Southampton singer-songwriter, Emily Pellatt, reflects elements of a variety of genres in her music, including Pop, Acoustic Pop, Jazz and Musical Theatre! Focusing on her love for music, Emily spends a lot of time passionately writing new lines and ideas for new music to release to her listeners. Her sound is influenced by artists including Tori Kelly, Chelsea Cutler and Alicia Keys, to name a few.

Jonny Moody is a singer songwriter producer from Southampton. Drawing much inspiration from the 60's and 70's whilst never losing his enthusiasm for all things new, Jonny's songs go seamlessly from upbeat foot-tappers to emotive ballads. Having played all over the UK, Europe and North America in the last 3 years, from small pop up gigs to arena shows, and since the release of his debut EP, 'Alone, Not Lonely', Jonny has built a name for himself in the music industry.

‘A great singing voice and a really rock solid understanding of the songs.’ BBC Radio 2

Chris Ricketts is a local 21st century shanty and folk singer. He's currently working on an album of shanties and self penned songs called 'Songs In The Key Of Sea', set to launch in August this year.

'An authentic and original sound...a great prospect!' David 'Kid' Jensen, Radio DJ

Will Purdue is an alt country singer-songwriter, inspired by the likes of The National, R.E.M and Leonard Cohen. Will has also supported two of his musical influences; Echo & The Bunnymen and Jessie Malin. He has been featured on BBC Radio across the UK, and festival performances include Celtic Connections and London Blues Fest.

Joe Hicks
Newbury singer-songwriter, Joe Hicks, blends pop, blues and folk influences, combining intricate guitar composition with classic pop song-craft. Since his first single release at the start of 2017, Joe has racked up over 1 million Spotify streams, was made 'BBC Introducing Artist of the Week’ across the UK Radio, and has toured the UK and Europe including over 30 Sofar Sounds shows and a slot supporting BRIT award winner, Sam Fender!

Joe Mongan
23 years old and armed with an acoustic guitar, Joe Mongan is a singer-songwriter with a repertoire of topical, clever and comical songs about being young and all the trials and tribulations of life. He has made some pretty big waves along the south coast with headline shows, festival appearances and supports slots with the likes of Itch (The King Blues), Lucy Spraggan, Sean Mcgowan, Beans On Toast and Billy Lunn (The Subways).

With two EP's under his belt and a debut album in the works, Joe is not one to miss!

Lewis Bootle
London-based musician, Lewis Bootle, is a singer-storyteller musician, who combines Indie, Funk, Ska & Hip-Hop, lyricism, guitar and vocal melodies for his blend of musical storytelling. He has been championed by Frank Turner, Just Jack and recently had his track 'Walking Away' playlisted by Jack Saunders on his BBC Radio 1 Indie show.

Jessie Mary Music
Jessie Mary is a highly talented singer-songwriter based in Dorset, currently working on her solo EP.  With her authentic vocals, fiddle and keys, Jessie brings a unique style to the UK country scene.

Jessie is no stranger to Naomi House, as she recently volunteered her time and talent to feature on our charity single, Forevermore. She has a truly beautiful and powerful voice, blowing away anyone that has the honour of hearing her perform.

Riskology Radcliffe
Riskology Radcliffe is a solo hip-hop artist, MC, rapper and radio presenter on Southampton radio station, Voice FM.

He has supported big acts including Soulja Boy, Tinie Tempah and Goldie Looking Chain, as well as performing at big local festivals including Victorious Festival, Wickham Fest and Southampton City Live. He also used to work as a Youth Worker in Southampton for several years, facilitating music projects for the inner city. His EP, 'Karma' is also out this year!

Tune in to his energetic gig featuring his old school hip-hop rapping style on Thursday night from 8pm!

Sam Flight
Sam Flight is a blues and rock inspired singer-songwriter and guitarist based on the south coast. Touring in several bands from a young age, Sam has supported the likes of Bastille, PUP and Ten Tonnes. Releasing his debut album in 2016 followed by a second in 2018, he is currently playing regular shows, showcasing originals as well as a variety of covers from the many artists that inspire him.

Tune in for a feel good Friday night gig from this talented musician, featuring a mixed set of covers you can singalong to at home and a few originals scattered in for good measure!

Livy is a local singer-songwriter from Hampshire, who explores a variety of genres, including jazz, funk and pop, in her own original music and through her unique covers.

Eleri Angharad
Eleri Angharad is a fresh new voice on the UK Country scene from Swansea, South Wales. Inspired by a North American road trip where she performed in Nashville, Chicago and New York, Eleri blends traditional Country Music storytelling with catchy Pop melodies.

In 2019 she released her debut album, ‘Earthbound’; a body of work based on her travels around the US, Ireland and Sweden.

Mia Grace is an average 20 year old becoming a not-so average singer-songwriter! Her music could be described as a mixture between Eliza Doolittle and Kate Nash, writing, performing and producing alternative pop music. In 2018, she launched her first single, Pizza in my Bed', which received lots of industry attention.

WREN is a dark electronic pop solo artist from Southampton. She started songwriting in her early teens and began performing her material at venues and festivals along the south coast. Taking influence from the electronic sounds of Jack Garrat and the vocals of Nao, WREN blends velvet vocals, sweeping guitars and hypnotic bass lines to submerge you in the electronic undergrowth.
