Play & Activities Worker

Responsibilites

When children and young adults stay with us, we want to make sure they have a great time, whether it's messy play or playing music! Want to help us make it happen?

As part of a small ambitious team, you will plan, resource and implement fun, creative, engaging and interactive play and social activities for children and young adults with life limiting and life threatening conditions, both in groups and on an individual basis. You will need to demonstrate that same fun,  engaging, energetic and professional approach to your work, and as we provide care for birth to teens, to young adults up to the age of 35, an understanding of age appropriate activities is vital as is previous experience and sensitivity to the needs of children and young adults with complex needs.

Based here at the Hospice but with regular travel for trips and outings, you will need a current clean driving license and a car owner would be preferred due to our remote location.

Benefits include 28 days holiday, the opportunity to join a Group pension scheme and the opportunity to work in one of the region’s most prominent charities.
