Breakfast and Bedtime Volunteers

Our Breakfast and Bedtime Volunteers support our staff either in the mornings at breakfast time or in the evening at tea time.

This is a great role for anyone who enjoys the company of children or is interested in a role in care or those looking to go into nursing.

Tasks Involved:

Supporting the nurses and carers get the children up in the morning, giving them breakfast and helping with their evening meal and bedtime routine.

  • To be physically fit.
  • Some experience of working with children is preferred.
  • Enjoy playing with the children and helping them with activities.
  • This role requires volunteers that can commit to a longer amount of time due to the training required.


  •  8.00am – 11.00am or 6.00pm – 9.00pm - Once a week or fortnight.

Training and Induction:

  • Induction & tour of  Jacksplace and Naomi House
  • Health and Safety issues
  • Training on confidentiality, safeguarding & professional boundaries

Support and Supervision:

You will need to be able to attend an initial training session, with then ongoing training and support sessions throughout the year.
