Responsibilities

Each year, our hospices welcome life limited children, young people, and their families. The team ensure that they receive expert care, from their clinical needs to their leisure time and you would be key to helping us maintain this quality, essential service.

The main responsibility of this role is to support the management of bookings for respite for our two modern hospices, Naomi House and Jacksplace. You will be talking to families at a time of stress so you need to be a calm and well organised multi-tasker with a compassionate nature and customer focussed approach. You need to ensure that we adhere to our processes and criteria so that the service we offer is fair and equitable as well as of an exceptional standard. In order to maintain our clinical records we need you to be experienced and confident in using databases and keeping records and systems up to date. Our Care Admin office is a busy environment. You’ll deal with requests from families, handle phone calls from various care professionals, provide secretarial support to managers, allocate tasks to our volunteers, help with the arrangements for family events and manage invoices, always with a positive approach. Office skills, communication skills and IT skills are essential as is flexibility and a genuine desire to do your best to help families at a time of need.
