Our charity shops provide a great source of income to enable Naomi House & Jacksplace to provide vital care for local children, young adults and their families. We are looking for an Assistant Shop Manager to help run our shop in Poole and raise our profile in the area.
Doing all you can to increase income to support the work of the Trust, your responsibilities will include meeting and greeting customers, merchandising, pricing, stock sorting and rotation, banking and staff planning. All of our shops aim to offer a pleasant customer experience with a good old fashioned 'bargain to boot' and we expect our Assistant Shop Managers to reflect this in their approach to work.
Working with your Shop Manager and alongside volunteers, it is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature. Although not essential, experience in retail would be ideal and a full driving licence would be useful.
The role is part-time, 2 days a week with some regular Saturday working (the shop is open Monday - Saturday). You will also cover for the Shop Manager’s absence (holidays, regular day off) so flexibility over working days will be needed.
