The Fire Walk and Lego Walk are back!
On the 25th October, take on the ultimate challenge of Fire Walking to support seriously ill children and young adults.
Fire walking is the practice of walking barefoot over hot coals or wood. When the fire has burned to red hot embers it is raked level and prepared for the walk. The temperature will be around 649 degrees Celsius. The sensation is described as walking on eggshells or walking on hot sand with no known experience of pain.
Charity firewalking is a great way of fundraising and will certainly give you a story or two to tell your friends. Can't brave the heat? Then strip off your socks and take on the blocks in the Lego Walk. Walking on Lego, as all parents of young children are painfully aware, is one of life’s most painful experiences, so it will be as equally challenging as walking across fire - we can assure you!
Please note: No prior training is required apart from a one hour seminar that would take place just before the event. There is no strenuous physical exercise involved and no medical restrictions to take part in fire walking.
