On leaving the RNLI, he was awarded the United States Coast Guard's highest civilian medal for his international work.

Rachel has worked with children for all of her 30+ year career. She trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital, and has worked as a Sister both there and at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool. She is also a qualified health visitor, and spent 12 years health visiting in Liverpool, Southall, and Northampton.
It was during her time in Northampton that she took a Masters degree, which focussed on support for parents of children with life-limiting illness.
Her aim for the Care Team at Naomi House is to continually improve the care provided through involving both children and their parents in the development of services in order to meet the needs of all families.
Tom is the Trust’s Director of Finance and joined Naomi House in 2005 following five years induction into the Charity sector with WRVS. I developed my interest in the work of children's hospices whilst living and working in Devon, where I worked for a packaging machinery manufacturing company - we adopted Little Bridge House, the children's hospice in the southwest as our charity in 1997, shortly before they opened.
Throughout my career I have always held sales and marketing positions, very useful experience in terms of adapting to fundraising. When my family moved back to Hampshire in 2002 I applied to Naomi House to become a volunteer and shortly afterwards joined the fundraising team.
I love the work that I do with the charity, working with our staff, volunteers and donors in support of raising the funds we need to provide our service to a growing number of children and their families. I am privileged to meet many of them and whenever I do it becomes apparent that Naomi House really does provide a little help along the way.
After completing her degree June worked for three years in educational research with children with learning difficulties. June ran a number of fundraising initiatives in her previous organisation which included leading a major campaign for Naomi House, raising £55,000.
June joined Naomi House in September 2007.
