We offer an open access policy to all children and young people for end of life care. Our experienced team aims to ensure the child or young person's last days are comfortable and the family is supported.
Whether the child or young person dies at home, hospital or in the hospice, the Butterfly bedroom suite is available for the family after the death of their child. It is a peaceful room with a private lounge which gives the family time to say goodbye.
The Bereavement Support Team works closely with the care team and can offer support throughout the child's illness. In particular they can help and offer advice for any arrangements the family will need to make.
The team at Naomi House can provide ongoing support for families after a child has died. Once a year we hold a remembering day for families as well as other events for bereaved siblings and grandparents. Further information is available from the Bereavement Support Team.
