Young adults stories - overview

Bonnie and Beverley

Creating smiles

jackspalce is unique in the central south of England.  It is a new hospice, next door to Naomi House near Winchester, which has been built as the result of listening the the needs of young adults with life-limiting conditions.  The new facility assists children, with life-limiting conditions, as they move through transition into adulthood and beyond.

These extra-ordinary young people explained that a facility like jacksplace can help them to have some independance.  They also explained that respite visits to a hosipce, that meets their specific needs, helps to give their parents and families a break from the day to day routine of caring for them at home.
