Statutory Funding

Naomi House currently receives £330,000 each year, from central Government to help fund the hospice.  This grant is due to end in 2011.

In February 2008 The Department of Health published the Government document "Better Care Better Lives – Improving outcomes and experiences for children and young people and their families living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions".  There has been significant funding allocated as a direct result of this document to Primary Care Trusts to support the development of this work.

The report outlines the future vision of services for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families to have equitable access to high quality, family centred sustainable care and support provided in a setting of choice.

We are currently working with our local Strategic Health Authorities, Primary Care Trusts and Local Authorities to establish other statutory funding for the future.  This will be vital to us opening all the beds in jacksplace, our new unit for young people.
