Schools fundraising at a Dragon Boat Race
The support we receive from young people is invaluable to us at Naomi House. By raising funds and spreading awareness, young people help us to support other less fortunate children across central southern England.
Your school or youth group could make a vital difference to our work – so why not get involved?
Students and pupils can help others
There are so many ways in which your school, college or youth group could support Naomi House, from organising fundraising events to recycling day to day items, taking part in challenges or organising your own charity day – many of which can be linked to parts of the syllabus and assessment criteria and be included on student CVs and UCAS forms. Here are just a few ideas:
- Charity of the Year – get to know us well and get involved, see what we do
- Non-uniform / dressing up days – pay a fine if you do, pay a fine if you don’t!
- Quiz nights – families, children and staff can test their mettle and raise much needed funds
- Sponsored activities – maths challenge, spelling bee, cycle ride, walk or even a sponsored silence!
- Talent Show – get your students to show off their talents in a light-hearted version of the TV show, even more fun for the judges!
- Recycling – the hospice raises money through the recycling of stamps, mobile phones, printer cartridges and foreign currency
The list is as endless as your imaginations.
