Children enjoy hydrotherapy at Naomi House
If your child has a lifelimiting condition you will know how exhausting it can be when you are responsible for their care 24/7 every day. At Naomi House we can take some of that day to day routine off your shoulders. These short breaks can be a life line - we can support children and families by offering 16 nights respite throughout the year.
Families can choose how they book their visits, within broad guidelines; they can usually choose to book a week during the summer months and several shorter breaks throughout the year. Children are able to stay either on their own or with their families, as we have parents’ accommodation available.
The nurses and carers at Naomi House will look after your child during respite visits which means that you can choose how to spend the days you spend at the hospice.
Some families decide to go away on a holiday, knowing their child is in safe hands. Either way it means that parents enjoy being parents rather than full time carers, knowing that their child is happy and comfortable. It also means that brothers and sisters benefit because they can have mum and dad’s attention for a while.
