Respite at jacksplace is great fun
12 years ago it was unusual for children with life-limiting conditions to live beyond their teenage years. However, since opening Naomi House this has changed a lot. Medical advances mean that some of the children are now looking forward to growing up to become young adults, and as such they have very different needs.
Providing palliative care for young people
Naomi House children’s hospice has closed that gap and is now plesed to be able to provide a service specifically providing palliative care for young people. The Trust has a new hospice, called jacksplace, which is designed to give these young people privacy, dignity and independence.
