How to leave a gift in your Will
Whether the gift is large or small it really does make a difference.
We recommend that you use a solicitor who will be able to advise you on the best way to proceed.
The cost of writing a Will is relatively inexpensive - about the same cost as having an annual car service.
A properly drafted Will gives you the peace of mind that the people and organisations you wish to benefit from your life will do so, it also means your loved ones have fewer decisions to make and minimises the potential for disputes and potential claims on your estate.

Choose the type of gift
There are three types of gift that you could leave to Naomi House in your Will - a specific sum of money (a pecuniary gift); an item such as jewellery or furniture (a specific gift); or you could leave some, or all, of what’s left, after you have provided for your loved ones (a residuary gift). Do ensure that you include the correct wording when specifying a gift in your Will.
Updating an existing Will
In order to add a gift to Naomi House to an existing Will, you simply need to complete a form known legally as a Codicil (a legal amendment). Because many solicitors store Wills electronically, they may draw up a new Will but the cost will only be a fraction of the original charge. Download a Codicil Form here.
