Volunteers make a world of difference

Do you enjoy sorting through clothes and books and other donated items? We are looking for volunteers to help us in the warehouse to look through all the items that are donated for us in the hope that they can raise some money through being sold in one of Naomi House shops.

Helping out at the warehouse is a very sociable role, there’s always plenty of banter, and sweets or cakes. Jo, our warehouse team leader, ensures that all of our volunteers are fully trained before they are set loose on the warehouse.

Jo relies on volunteers; the warehouse would not function without them. Monday through to Friday everyday is different you never know what will turn up! Some days you may end up sorting through bags of clothes or sorting out the scrap metal, then another day open a bag and find a piece of art or china that can be sold at auction. No two days are ever the same!
