End Of Life
Naomi House offers support to families when it is recognised that their child is at the end of life. We are open 365 days of the year to enable families to seek support, from us if they should chose ,at this difficult time.
Families who have already been accepted by the charity, through the referral process, are able to just pick up the phone to ask for help. For those families not already known to us we are able to ‘fast track’ their referral by gaining medical information urgently, so that we can support the family as quickly as possible.
Naomi House has developed its own end of life care pathway based on the ACT pathway for children with life limiting conditions. This enables the team to provide high quality care meeting the individual needs of the child and family.
Families are able to stay in the days leading up to the child’s death and in the days following, before the funeral. Our experienced Family Support Team offer support immediately before the child’s death. In the days and weeks that follow more specific bereavement support as appropriate.
