Emergency care
The quiet garden at Naomi House
Emergencies are by their very nature unpredictable and cause a crisis situation. For families coping with the difficult circumstances of a child or young adult with a life limiting condition, a crisis is incredibly challenging.
The team at Naomi House encourages families, who visit the hospice, to get in touch when they are facing an emergency that means they are unable to cope. We try to offer support to the family at this time. Our help can include a respite visit by our Naomi House at Home team or an emergency stay at Naomi House.
The nature of the emergency can vary, from the sudden illness of a parent or carer to mum going in to hospital to have a new baby. The help we give in these difficult situations is to care for the life limited child whilst the crisis is resolved.
Every case is different and personal to the family involved. If your child visits Naomi House and you have a crisis where you think we may be able help you through it by providing some respite care get in touch on the number below.
